X360 and The New*
Most of the massive challenges facing humanity are not new. Most of the immediate challenges facing our communities or institutions are not truly new.
What’s new is our unprecedented capacity to connect; to share ideas, problems, solutions, new ways of thinking.
What’s new is our capability to combine two significant areas of human initiative:
- Our willingness and capacity to explore new spaces, new options and opportunities (often enabled by technologies old and new).
- Our capacity to harness collective knowledge and experience; to link diverse experience and perspectives to find new ways through our shared challenges.
The X360 commons is a new open, social knowledge initiative that aims to build on this emergent capacity by supporting institutions and individuals committed to public good to leverage their programs through the power of the networked, the collaborative, the collective.
And because some of the most impactful initiatives come from people or spaces that are still striving, still looking to ‘understand the questions before having answers’ we are particularly dedicated to connecting and supporting projects that are exploring new approaches, creating new public value.
